1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Stanley Equipment Co. website ("Site") or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or services. These Terms apply to website use only; the actual rental of equipment is governed by a separate Rental Agreement signed at the time of booking.

2. Services

Stanley Equipment Co. is a heavy-equipment rental business based in Jacksonville, FL, serving Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties. Our services include short- and long-term equipment rentals, delivery and pickup, and related accessories.

3. Quote Requests and Bookings

Requesting a quote on this Site does not create a rental contract. A rental is confirmed only after (1) Trent Stanley or an authorized representative approves the booking, (2) you sign the Rental Agreement, and (3) the deposit is paid. All prices, availability, and dates are subject to change until a rental is confirmed.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to rent equipment. Some equipment may have additional eligibility requirements (insurance, license, training). Identity verification through Stripe Identity is required for all renters.

5. Acceptable Use

When using this Site, you agree NOT to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or our internal systems
• Use automated scraping, bots, or harvest data from the Site
• Interfere with the Site's operation or security
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

6. Communications Consent & Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

You opt in to text messages from Stanley Equipment Co. by checking a required, un-prechecked consent checkbox on our quote or booking forms, or by expressly agreeing verbally with our team. Providing your phone number alone does not enroll you in text messaging, and consent is not a condition of purchase. Text messages are transactional and service-related only (booking confirmations, rental reminders, payment notices). We do not send marketing text messages. Promotional email is sent only with your separate express consent, and you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information.

Types of messages. If you opt in to text messages from Stanley Equipment Co., you will receive SMS related to your quotes and rentals, such as quote responses, booking confirmations, delivery and pickup scheduling and ETAs, balance and payment reminders, rental return reminders, and post-rental review requests.

Message frequency.Message frequency varies based on your rental activity (typically 2–10 messages per rental).

Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to any messages you send or receive.

Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (904) 861-6182.

Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed.

Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.

7. Pricing and Payment

All rental prices are listed in U.S. dollars and exclude sales tax, delivery fees, and damage waiver charges (where applicable). A $500 booking deposit (or 100% of the total for rentals under $500) is required to confirm a rental. Additional damage holds may be placed on the payment method on file. Payments are processed through Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

8. Damage, Loss, and Return

Renters are responsible for the equipment's safe operation, return in similar condition (less normal wear), and any damage, loss, or theft during the rental period. An optional damage waiver covers accidental damage with a $500 deductible. Full terms are in the Rental Agreement signed at booking.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — text, images, logos, designs, code — is owned by Stanley Equipment Co. or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Site content without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE. EQUIPMENT-SPECIFIC WARRANTIES ARE DESCRIBED IN THE RENTAL AGREEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STANLEY EQUIPMENT CO. AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM SITE USE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT APPLY TO RENTAL-SPECIFIC OBLIGATIONS GOVERNED BY THE RENTAL AGREEMENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stanley Equipment Co. harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Site, or fraudulent information you submit.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
